Problem
A motorized turntable starts from rest. For the first 2.0s it rotates with constant angular acceleration of 4.0rad/s2. Immediately afterward, the motor maintains the angular speed reached at t=2.0s for an additional 5.0s.
(a) Determine the angular speed of the turntable at the end of the acceleration stage.
(b) Calculate the total angular displacement of the turntable during the entire 7.0s interval.
(c) Determine the average angular velocity of the turntable over the 7.0s interval and state whether its magnitude is less than, equal to, or greater than the constant angular speed maintained during the coasting stage. Justify your comparison in one or two sentences.
