Problem

Two bodies P and Q, each of mass 2 kg2\,\text{kg}, collide on a frictionless horizontal table. Just before impact, P has momentum 3 kg m s−13\,\text{kg m s}^{-1} due east while Q is at rest. After the collision, P moves with momentum 2 kg m s−12\,\text{kg m s}^{-1} making an angle of 60∘60^\circ north of east. Calculate the magnitude and direction of the momentum of Q immediately after the collision.
