Problem

A circular garden has centre CC and radius 3030 m. A service gate is located at a point GG on the outside such that CG=50CG = 50 m. Two straight paved paths are to be laid from GG to touch the boundary of the garden at points AA and BB. (i) Calculate the length of each path GAGA and GBGB. (ii) Determine the perimeter of quadrilateral CGABCGAB. (iii) The region enclosed by GAGA, GBGB and the arc ABAB of the garden is to be covered with decorative tiles. Find the area of this region, taking π=3.14\pi = 3.14.
