Problem

Two point masses, each of 5 kg5\,\text{kg}, are placed at two vertices of an equilateral triangle of side 0.20 m0.20\,\text{m}. Calculate: (i) the magnitude of the resultant gravitational field at the third vertex, (ii) the direction of this field (towards which of the given masses). Take G=6.67×10−11 N m2kg−2G = 6.67\times10^{-11}\,\text{N\,m}^2\text{kg}^{-2}.
