Problem

Two point masses are on a straight line: 3 kg3\,\text{kg} at x=0 mx=0\,\text{m} and 5 kg5\,\text{kg} at x=2.0 mx=2.0\,\text{m}. The 5 kg5\,\text{kg} mass is then slid to x=3.0 mx=3.0\,\text{m} while the 3 kg3\,\text{kg} mass stays put. Calculate the new x-coordinate of the center of mass.
