Problem

A hydraulic press has a small piston of area 5 cm25\,\text{cm}^2 and a large piston of area 200 cm2200\,\text{cm}^2. Calculate the maximum load that can be lifted on the large piston when a force of 150 N150\,\text{N} is applied on the small piston. (Take 1 cm2=1×10−4 m21\,\text{cm}^2 = 1\times10^{-4}\,\text{m}^2.)
