Problem

A capacitor connected to a junction draws current IC(t)=5e−t/2 AI_C(t)=5e^{-t/2}\,\text{A} away from the junction, while a sinusoidal source supplies current IS(t)=4sin⁡(πt) AI_S(t)=4\sin(\pi t)\,\text{A} into the junction, where tt is in seconds. The only other branch contains a resistor. Determine the current in the resistor at t=1.0 st=1.0\,\text{s} and state whether it is directed into or out of the junction.
