Problem

Consider any random experiment and an event EE with complement E′E'. Answer the following. (a) What is meant by the complement of an event? Illustrate with a clear example based on throwing a single unbiased die once. (b) Show that the probability of any event EE must satisfy 0≤P(E)≤10 \le P(E) \le 1. (c) Prove that P(E)+P(E′)=1P(E) + P(E') = 1.
