Problem

Lines ll and mm are parallel. They are cut by transversals pp and qq which meet ll at A,BA, B and mm at C,DC, D respectively, forming quadrilateral ABCDABCD. (i) Prove that ∠A+∠C=180∘\angle A + \angle C = 180^{\circ}. (ii) If ∠A=(6x−30)∘\angle A = (6x - 30)^{\circ} and ∠C=(2x+10)∘\angle C = (2x + 10)^{\circ}, determine the value of xx. (iii) Using the value of xx, calculate ∠B\angle B and ∠D\angle D. (iv) State, with reason, the special name that best describes quadrilateral ABCDABCD.
