Problem
A student is investigating how the radius of a circular conducting loop affects the magnetic field produced at its centre when the same current flows through the loop. Assume all other factors remain unchanged.
(i) Describe qualitatively how the magnetic field at the centre of a circular loop changes when the radius of the loop is increased while keeping the current constant.
(ii) Give a scientific explanation for the change stated in part (i).
(iii) If the radius of the loop is reduced to one‐half of its original value while the current remains the same, by what factor will the magnetic field at the centre change? Show your working.
