Problem

A straight ramp AB is constructed from point A on level ground up to point B on a hill. The ramp makes an angle of 30∘30^\circ with the horizontal. The horizontal distance from A to the point C directly beneath B is 80 m80\,\text{m}. (i) Calculate the vertical height BC of the hill at point B. (ii) Determine, correct to one decimal place, the length of the ramp AB. (iii) Safety railing is to be installed along both AB and BC. Find the total length of railing required.
