Problem

Two conductors of capacitance 1 F1\text{ F} and 2 F2\text{ F} are charged to +10 V+10\text{ V} and −20 V-20\text{ V} respectively. They are now connected by a conducting wire. Find: (1) Their common potential. (2) The final charges on them. (3) The loss of energy during redistribution of charges.
