Problem

If two points PP and QQ on the hyperbola x2a2−y2b2=1\frac{x^2}{a^2} - \frac{y^2}{b^2} = 1 whose centre is CC , are such that CPCP is perpendicular to CQCQ , a<ba < b , then prove that 1(CP)2+1(CQ)2=1a2−1b2\frac{1}{(CP)^2} + \frac{1}{(CQ)^2} = \frac{1}{a^2} - \frac{1}{b^2}
