Problem

Resistors of 2 Ω2\,\Omega, 3 Ω3\,\Omega and 6 Ω6\,\Omega are available—one of each. (a) Arrange the three resistors so that their equivalent resistance is exactly 4 Ω4\,\Omega. State clearly which resistors are in series and which are in parallel. (b) Calculate the equivalent resistance of your arrangement to show that it is indeed 4 Ω4\,\Omega. (c) If the network you designed in part (a) is connected to a 12 V12\,\text{V} battery, calculate the current supplied by the battery.
