Problem

Let TT be a point of contact of a tangent drawn from an external point PP to a circle with centre OO. The second tangent from PP touches the circle at SS. The points TT and SS are joined to form chord TSTS, and OO is joined to TT and SS. (a) Prove that △OTP≅△OSP\triangle OTP \cong \triangle OSP. (b) Deduce that OT=OSOT = OS and ∠TOP=∠POS\angle TOP = \angle POS. (c) Prove that quadrilateral TOSPTOSP is cyclic. (d) If the radius of the circle is rr and ∠TOS=θ\angle TOS = \theta, express the area of △TPS\triangle TPS in terms of rr and θ\theta.
