Problem

Let q(x)=(x+3)2+(x−3)2+kx,q(x)=(x+3)^2+(x-3)^2+kx, where kk is a real constant. (i) Find the value of kk for which x−1x-1 is a factor of q(x)q(x). (ii) For the value of kk obtained in part (i), factorise q(x)q(x) completely.
