Problem

Consider the linear function f(x)=3x−2f(x)=3x-2 with the restricted domain −1≤x≤4-1\le x\le4. (i) Find the corresponding range of ff. (ii) Determine the value(s) of xx in the given domain for which f(x)=4f(x)=4. (iii) If the domain is further restricted to 0≤x≤40\le x\le4, find the new range and compare it with the range obtained in part (i).
