Problem
A rectangular conducting frame ABCD lies in a horizontal plane with side AB (length 0.20 m) free to slide on the other three fixed sides. The loop encloses an area of 0.08 m² initially. The side AB is pulled eastward at 3.0 m s⁻¹ so that the area of the loop increases. The region has a uniform magnetic field of 0.25 T directed vertically upward. Show that the induced current in side AB flows from B to A as viewed from above the loop.
