Problem

A rectangular wire loop has length ℓ=35 cm\ell=35\,\text{cm} and width w=20 cmw=20\,\text{cm}. A uniform magnetic field of magnitude B=0.50 TB=0.50\,\text{T} is present. The normal to the plane of the loop makes an angle of 37∘37^{\circ} with the direction of the magnetic field. (a) Determine the area of the loop in square meters. (b) Calculate the magnetic flux through the loop. Show all calculations and include the correct units. (c) If the loop is rotated so that its normal is now perpendicular to the magnetic field, by what factor does the flux change? Explain your answer briefly.
