Problem

Two flat slabs each of area 0.50 m20.50\,\text{m}^2 and thickness 0.02 m0.02\,\text{m} are made of materials X (k=0.20 W m−1 K−1k = 0.20\,\text{W m}^{-1}\,\text{K}^{-1}) and Y (k=0.05 W m−1 K−1k = 0.05\,\text{W m}^{-1}\,\text{K}^{-1}). If the temperature difference across each slab is 10 K10\,\text{K}, calculate the ratio of the heat current through slab X to that through slab Y.
