Problem

A 0.40 kg0.40\,\text{kg} uniform rod 0.60 m0.60\,\text{m} long rotates about an axis perpendicular to the rod through one end. Two small spheres, each of mass 0.20 kg0.20\,\text{kg}, are attached to the rod at distances 0.15 m0.15\,\text{m} and 0.60 m0.60\,\text{m} from the axis, respectively. Determine the rotational inertia of the entire assembly about the axis. Give your result to two significant figures.
