Problem

The following algebraic expressions are given: A(x)=3x2+7x−1,  B(x)=5x−1+2,  C(x)=x+4,  D(x)=9x3−6x,  E(x)=4.A(x)=3x^{2}+7x-1,\; B(x)=5x^{-1}+2,\; C(x)=\sqrt{x}+4,\; D(x)=9x^{3}-6x,\; E(x)=4. Answer the questions below. (i) Identify all the expressions that are not polynomials and state the specific reason for each. (ii) For every expression that is a polynomial, write it in standard form, then state: (a) its degree, (b) the leading coefficient, (c) the constant term (if any), and (d) whether it is a monomial, binomial, or trinomial.
