Problem

Point P has coordinates (6 m, −1 m)(6\,\text{m},\,-1\,\text{m}) in a Cartesian frame S. A new frame S″ is set up by shifting the origin 4 m4\,\text{m} along the positive x-direction and 3 m3\,\text{m} along the negative y-direction. The new x-axis is parallel to the old x-axis with the same orientation, but the new y-axis is taken opposite to the old y-direction. Determine the coordinates (x″,y″)(x″,y″) of point P in frame S″.
