Problem

A tree casts a shadow 12 m long on level ground. The angle of elevation of the sun is θ\theta such that tan⁡θ=512\tan\theta = \dfrac{5}{12}. Use this information to answer the following. (i) Find sin⁡θ\sin\theta and cos⁡θ\cos\theta. (ii) Hence compute csc⁡θ\csc\theta and sec⁡θ\sec\theta in simplest form. (iii) Determine the height of the tree.
