Problem

Two ice skaters stand on frictionless ice facing each other. Skater AA has mass 50 kg50\,\text{kg} and Skater BB has mass 40 kg40\,\text{kg}. Skater AA pushes Skater BB with a constant horizontal force F⃗A→B=20ı^−15ȷ^ N\vec F_{A\to B}=20\hat\imath-15\hat\jmath\,\text{N} for 0.50 s0.50\,\text{s}. (i) Write the force exerted by Skater BB on Skater AA. (ii) Calculate the acceleration vector of each skater while the push lasts. (iii) Assuming both skaters were at rest before the push and the force remains constant for 0.50 s0.50\,\text{s}, determine the velocity vector of each skater immediately after the push ends.
