Problem

A point charge −6 μC-6\,\mu\text{C} produces an electric field of magnitude 2.4×105 N C−12.4\times10^5\,\text{N}\,\text{C}^{-1} at a point PP that is 5.0 cm5.0\,\text{cm} away. (i) What will be the magnitude of the electric field at a point QQ that lies 15 cm15\,\text{cm} from the charge along the same line? (ii) State whether the directions of the fields at PP and QQ are the same or opposite.
