Problem

A stone is released from rest at the edge of a cliff that is 20 m above the ground. Taking upward as the positive direction, calculate after 2 s: (a) the displacement of the stone and state its sign, (b) the velocity of the stone and state its sign. (Take g=9.8 m/s2g = 9.8\,\text{m/s}^2.)
