Problem

(Vectors and Scalars) For two non-zero vectors A⃗\vec A and B⃗\vec B lying in the same plane, answer the following: (i) Define the scalar projection of A⃗\vec A on B⃗\vec B. (ii) Define the vector projection of A⃗\vec A on B⃗\vec B and hence write its relation with the scalar projection obtained in part (i). (iii) Using a suitable everyday example (such as pulling a suitcase with a strap), explain the physical significance of the projections defined above.
