Problem

Some of the largest tides in the world are observed in Canada's Bay of Fundy. The difference between high and low tides is 14 metres, and the average time difference between high tides is about 12.4 hours. On a particular day, the first high tide is 16.2 m, occurring at 9 am. (1) Find a sine model for the height of the tide HH in terms of the time tt . (2) Sketch the graph of the function for that day.
