Problem

Along a straight road, point A is at −70 m-70\,m and point B at +130 m+130\,m relative to milestone M taken as origin. Another origin N is located 20 m20\,m east of milestone M. (i) Calculate the displacement of a cyclist travelling from A to B when positions are measured with origin at M. (ii) Calculate the displacement for the same journey when positions are measured with origin at N.
