Problem

A solenoid 20 cm20\,\text{cm} long has 400400 turns and carries a current of 2 A2\,\text{A}. A single circular coil of radius 4 cm4\,\text{cm} also carries the same current of 2 A2\,\text{A}. Assume μ0=4π×10−7 T m A−1\mu_0 = 4\pi \times 10^{-7}\,\text{T\,m\,A}^{-1}. (i) Calculate the magnetic field inside the solenoid. (ii) Calculate the magnetic field at the centre of the circular coil. (iii) Which of the two magnetic fields obtained above is stronger?
