A train moving at 20 m/s20 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s} begins to accelerate uniformly. After covering 400 m , its speed becomes 40 m/s40 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}. Find the acceleration and determine the distance from the start where its speed becomes 30 m/s30 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}. Explain whether this point is nearer to the start or to the end.
