Problem

Blocks A, B and C are made of identical material. First, block A is kept in contact with block C inside an insulated box until no further change can be detected. After they are separated, block B is then kept in contact with the same block C, again until no further change can be detected. Finally, blocks A and B are brought into contact inside the insulated box. (i) Will any heat flow between blocks A and B when they are brought together? Give reasons for your answer without performing numerical calculations. (ii) How does this result illustrate the role of temperature as a property of a system?
