Problem
At a community fair, two categories of entry tickets are sold—adult tickets and child tickets. On one particular day, the organiser notes the following:
• Selling 85 adult tickets and 120 child tickets collects a total of ₹20,300.
• Selling 60 adult tickets and 150 child tickets collects a total of ₹19,500.
(i) Form a pair of linear equations in the cost of one adult ticket (₹x) and one child ticket (₹y).
(ii) Solve the pair of equations obtained in part (i) to find the price of each type of ticket.
