Problem

The rim of a bicycle wheel has a radius of 35 cm.35\,\text{cm}. Starting from rest, the wheel turns through 150π rad150\pi\,\text{rad}. (a) Express the total angular displacement of the wheel in degrees. (b) Determine the number of complete revolutions made by the wheel. (c) Calculate the length of the path traced by a point on the rim during this motion, giving your answer in metres correct to two decimal places. (d) If the same angular displacement had been given in degrees instead of radians, explain what extra step would be required before part (c) could be answered.
