Problem
Consider the number 540.
(i) Draw a factor tree of 540 by successively splitting it into two composite factors of your choice and write the resulting prime factorization.
(ii) Construct a second, different factor tree for 540 using a different initial split, and write the prime factorization obtained.
(iii) Compare the two factorizations written in parts (i) and (ii) and explain why they are considered the same, even though the factor trees were different.
