Problem

Answer the following questions related to the congruence of right-angled triangles. (a) State the Right angle–Hypotenuse–Side (RHS) congruence theorem for triangles. (b) Explain two distinct reasons why the theorem stated in part (a) cannot be applied to triangles that are not right-angled. (c) Compare the conditions of the theorem in part (a) with those of the Side–Angle–Side (SAS) congruence rule. (d) A student claims, “If two triangles have their hypotenuses equal and one side equal, they are always congruent.” Do you agree with this statement? Give a mathematical justification for your answer.
