Problem

A fully charged inverter battery can supply 2.4 kWh2.4\,\text{kWh} of energy before it needs recharging. The battery is used to operate ten identical 60 W60\,\text{W} fluorescent lamps simultaneously. (i) Calculate the total power consumed by the lamps. (ii) Determine for how many hours the lamps can be kept ON continuously before the battery is completely discharged. Assume the battery is ideal.
