Problem

Two capacitors AA and BB are connected in series across a 100 V100\text{ V} supply. The potential differences across them are 60 V60\text{ V} and 40 V40\text{ V}, respectively. A capacitor of capacitance 2 μF2\,\mu\mathrm{F} is connected in parallel with AA, and the potential difference across BB rises to 90 V90\text{ V}. Determine the capacitances of AA and BB.
