Problem

A sector of a circle of radius 12 cm subtends an angle of 90° at the centre. A second sector from another circle subtends an angle of 120° at its centre. The two sectors are known to have equal areas. (i) Find the radius of the second circle. (ii) For these two sectors, determine the ratio of their arc lengths. (iii) Which sector has the greater perimeter (arc + two radii)? Show complete working.
