Problem

Let A={1,2,3,4}A = \{1,2,3,4\} and B={w,x,y,z}B = \{w,x,y,z\}. A function f:A→Bf: A \to B is defined by f(1)=wf(1)=w, f(2)=xf(2)=x, f(3)=yf(3)=y and f(4)=pf(4)=p, where p∈Bp \in B. (i) Write the range of ff in terms of pp. (ii) Determine all possible values of pp for which ff is bijective. (iii) For each value of pp found in part (ii), write down the inverse mapping f−1f^{-1}.
