Problem

The vertices of a quadrilateral are given as P(3,4), Q(−1,4), R(−1,−2)P(3,4),\, Q(-1,4),\, R(-1,-2) and S(3,−2)S(3,-2). (i) List the abscissa and ordinate of each vertex separately. (ii) Identify the pairs of vertices that lie on a common vertical line and give a reason for your choice. (iii) Identify the pairs of vertices that lie on a common horizontal line and justify your answer. (iv) State the quadrants in which the different vertices lie and comment on the overall shape formed when the vertices are joined in order P→Q→R→SP\rightarrow Q\rightarrow R\rightarrow S.
