Problem

Lines pp and qq are intersected by transversal rr. The interior angle on the left of rr at the point where it meets pp measures (4x−7)∘(4x-7)^\circ, while the interior angle on the right of rr at the point where it meets qq measures (3x+8)∘(3x+8)^\circ. These two angles form a pair of alternate interior angles. Find the value of xx and state whether pp and qq are parallel.
