Problem

A bicycle wheel of radius 35 cm is set in motion. (i) The wheel completes 3 full revolutions. Calculate the corresponding angular displacement in radians. (ii) Determine the distance (arc length) travelled by a point on the rim in metres for these 3 revolutions. (iii) The wheel then turns through an additional 120∘120^{\circ}. Find the new total distance (from the start) traced by the same point on the rim. Express your answer in metres, taking π=22/7\pi = 22/7.
