Problem

Factorisation involving fractional coefficients. (i) Rewrite the quadratic expression 32x2+52x−1\dfrac{3}{2}x^{2}+\dfrac{5}{2}x-1 with integral coefficients by multiplying with a suitable non-zero constant. (ii) Factor the resulting quadratic polynomial obtained in part (i) completely into two linear factors. (iii) Divide your answer of part (ii) by the constant used in part (i) to give the factorisation of the original expression, and verify by multiplication that it is correct.
