Problem

A circular badge of radius 10 cm10\,\text{cm} is to be painted on one side only. The design requires the major segment corresponding to a 120∘120^\circ central angle to be painted blue and the rest to remain blank. Take π=3.14\pi=3.14. (i) Calculate the area of the entire circular badge. (ii) Determine the area of the minor segment cut off by the 120∘120^\circ chord. (iii) Hence find, correct to two decimal places, the area that must be painted blue.
