Problem

Consider the circle given by (x+4)2+(y−1)2=12.25(x+4)^2 + (y-1)^2 = 12.25. Work through the tasks below. (i) Find the centre and the radius of the circle. (ii) Calculate the coordinates at which the circle meets the coordinate axes. (iii) Draw a neat, free-hand sketch of the circle on a set of coordinate axes, clearly marking the centre, the radius, and all intercepts found in part (ii).
