Problem

Between nodes P and Q lies a 2 Ω2\,\Omega resistor common to two loops. The left loop contains a 12 V12\,\text{V} battery (positive at P) and a 4 Ω4\,\Omega resistor. The right loop contains a 6 V6\,\text{V} battery (positive at Q) and a 5 Ω5\,\Omega resistor. Assume clockwise loop currents I1I_1 (left) and I2I_2 (right). Calculate the numerical values of I1I_1 and I2I_2.
