Problem Let A , B \mathbf{A}, \mathbf{B} A , B and C \mathbf{C} C be unit vectors. Suppose
A ⋅ B = A ⋅ C = 0 \mathbf{A} \cdot \mathbf{B} = \mathbf{A} \cdot \mathbf{C} = 0 A ⋅ B = A ⋅ C = 0 and the angle between B \mathbf{B} B and C \mathbf{C} C is π 4 \frac{\pi}{4} 4 π .
Then,
(1) A = ± 2 ( B × C ) \mathbf{A} = \pm 2(\mathbf{B} \times \mathbf{C}) A = ± 2 ( B × C )
(2) A = ± 2 ( B × C ) \mathbf{A} = \pm \sqrt{2}(\mathbf{B} \times \mathbf{C}) A = ± 2 ( B × C )
(3) A = ± 3 ( B + C ) \mathbf{A} = \pm 3(\mathbf{B} + \mathbf{C}) A = ± 3 ( B + C )
(4) A = ± 3 ( B × C ) \mathbf{A} = \pm \sqrt{3}(\mathbf{B} \times \mathbf{C}) A = ± 3 ( B × C )
