Problem

For a particle moving in a straight line the velocity as a function of time is given by v(t)=3t2−6t+2  (SI units).v(t) = 3t^{2} - 6t + 2 \; \text{(SI units)}. Answer the following: (i) Obtain an expression for the instantaneous acceleration a(t)a(t). (ii) Find the instantaneous acceleration at t=4 st = 4\,\text{s}. (iii) Calculate the average acceleration between t=4 st = 4\,\text{s} and t=6 st = 6\,\text{s}. (iv) From your results comment whether the motion is uniformly accelerated or not, giving reason.
